I was just looking over the Junkie list and wondering about all these user names. Many are kind of self explanatory, but most could use some sort of interpretation. For example, I look like my dog, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna log in as PommieOne or some shit like that. Any of you care to explain your unusual user names?

It has an interesting history if your into norse mythology. It was one of the names used by Odin.

Even though i really like the podcasts of the one they call Sigler, i don't like being referred to as a junkie, because junkies are scum, low and weak. I on the other hand am not, and this is why i think we should be called Cravers or maybe even subscribers....

This happens at uni too. It's got quite a lot of postgrads.. even on my course we have the 58yr old "granny medic".A lot of these references go right over my head. But then... I'm not even 20.

Dan of course in my name. 652 is the hull number of the nuclear attack submarine USS Puffer (SSN 652). I served on the Puffer for 5 years (1980 - 1985) AND - I met my loving spouse of 27 years onboard Puffer - but that's another story.

Used to LARP in college a lot. Michael Talon was my character's name. Then, when I dallied in the SCA, it was my persona name. Then "m_talon" became my online moniker as I started chatting and posting to boards.

Everyone wonders what the "m" is. Now you know.
