I have to make a comment on the post referencing "the lesser of several evils". Why choose? Let me ask you this... Would you prefer the greater evil to win? If you wait for the "perfect" candidate to come along, then you'll be waiting forever. In your utopia, politicians would be humble, wise, and propelled by the people to a positions of power. Sadly, this isn't the world we live in. The power we do have as individuals is a vote, and to expess your opinions and positions to the public (a blog?). Of course there is also the option of running for public office yourself. You know, fix the broken system from the inside?
To vote for who YOU want to represent you. Not voting removes whatever small influence you do have. One vote might not make a difference in the presidential election, but by telling others that voting doesn't matter, or that there is no one worth voting for can certainly have a ripple effect.
A quick note on Obama... Did you know his middle name is Hussein? Crazy, huh? Did you know that his formative years were spent in a Islamic elementary school, called a "medrassa". Among other things he was taught the Koran and Sharia law. This was in Jakarta, Indonesia where is stepfather was working. Strangely, Barack was even listed in the school's records as a Muslim, which he says was a recording error. To be fair this Madrassa did have students of different faiths, and wasn't considered radical like many other schools in the area.
"Barack Obama’s associations include ties to far left billionaire George Soros and others who claim solidarity with the Nation of Islam. Most Obama supporters are likely unaware of this or do not recognize the grave danger of these facts."
Other than that stuff, and a few other interesting facts, I like the guy. Hell, who isn't for change and hope!
