There have been REAL red velvet cupcakes in my office for two days and so far, I've kept my distance. I was just in the kitchen and there are 3 left. I wish someone would eat them already!!!!

You just had to go and bring up red velvet cake. I was doing good until that. I LOVE red velvet cake

Red velvet is basically a kind of chocolate cake. You use buttermilk and cocoa powder in the batter, and a chemical reaction between the 2 ingredients makes the batter turn red, thus the name red velvet. Mostly now though it is a buttermilk vanilla cake with a tiny but of cocoa powder and some red food coloring. Its a rather generic taste but the cream cheese frosting with white chocolate that they usually top is with is out of this world!

There is a restaurant here that makes red velvet pancakes with cream chees syrup. They are to dye for.

Would you like a boarder? I always pay my rent on time and I will move for those pancakes!

I remember back in November/December IHOP has pumpkin pancakes with maple glaze and toasted pecans....I found every excuse under the sun to go get some of those!

This place specializes in pancakes. They have lots of different flavors. The restaurant is quite small so you always want to get there early. The red velvet pancakes are unbelievable good.

It's a little frustrating, especially as some UK junkies are receiving their books now. I ordered back in September (when Belladonna gifted me for my Birthday because she's AWESOME!!!) and mine still says 'shipping soon'.

I feel your frustration! I ordered mine the first day it was available for pre-order, still "shipping soon". I called and they insisted they just barely got the books today, so I need to be patient! Uh huh, sure, those books have been there for days so that they could hit the mail today. That's why you pre-order, so it hits the mail the day its released! Then I got told it was my fault for not choosing a faster shipping speed, but don't worry I'm still a priority. I am so buying only from Barnes & Noble from now on lol.
