These forums are for discussing Scott's work and/or related topics.  If you'd like to share something with the rest of the class, BEFORE CREATING A NEW THREAD, please check out all the old ones first to see if there's already one started for the topic you want to discuss.  There are hundreds out there, so chances are, there's something to suit your purpose.

If you DON'T find a thread for what you're looking for and you think your topic will really interest the Junkies and get a lot of comments, then by all means, go ahead and create a thread for your topic.

This thread is where you can post just about anything else you want to discuss.  Have at it! Wink

OK, this is pretty random.

Any other Junkies out there interested in volcanos? science? TBG and I are seriously considering going on Phil Plait's next Science Getaway vacation in Bend, OR.

Well, I don't know much about volcanos, but I can vouch for Phil and his wife being awesome hosts. They're great people, Phil is so good at sharing what he knows in an easy to understand way, and his wife is funny, sassy and gets things done. I wish I could go, it will be an AWESOME time.

Remember when we were young and the site was an open book; We used to say live and let live (you know you did you know you did you know you did); But if this ever-changing world in which we live in makes you give in and cry...

Then we'll do what all good junkies do and shoot ducks at balloons and everything will be as it seems.  (I have new socks.)

How's that for some Sunday morning random?

We've met Phil several times at Dragon*Con and he seems great - very funny, very knowledgeable. The Big Guy is a total sicence-nerd and loves all the astronomy stuff. And I did get As in my freshman "Rocks for Jocks & Journalism Students" classes in college!

If we can get the time off from work, we're going. But Siglerfest 2K13 is on the schedule already!
