We take our well-behaved pets (the crazy puppy has to stay home) to visit the folks at the assisted living homes, special needs kids, etc.

I don't have the site set up to take donations yet, but you can always contact the group and I'm sure they would find a way to gratefully accept any donations.

It's my first Drupal site, so it still needs some work. If you have a pet that is fairly calm and can pass a basic obedience test, check into animal-assisted therapy in your area. www.deltasociety.org lists many groups.

maybe you can find a furry friend there and look into the therapy pet groups in your area. (Once all the snow melts.) We really just go and talk to the folks, they love the animals and what doggie doesn't love getting tons of attention and petting!

I take the kids (and grandkids) with me a lot of the visits and they have a great time and the oldsters find them very entertaining.

I usually go 2 Saturdays a month, it's hard for me to get to the events on the weekdays.

I know that the research shows such positive results for pets and people. you are doing something great.

Animal lovers! and I don't mean the wrong kind of animal love. It's great to see people doing the right thing by our furry associates. I was chatting to one of my colleagues recently and we both said that it's easy to forget that most people do in fact do right by their animals and then some.  It does us good to be reminded so thank you... keep it up!

Women and men both like to look at scantily clad members of the opposing sex, but men have ceased needing to rationalize it. There's exceptions of course, as with everything, but this seems to hold as a fair generalization.
