You get crack hits when you post on the forums.  Usually 5 for each post.  You can also get crack hits if someone gives them to you, or when you get enough you can give them to other people.  There is some talk of using your crack hits to buy buttons to put on your account.  there are several good posts about the crack hits.  If you go to the bottom of the page there is a search tool.  Type in Crack Hits and see what comes up.
