I don't understand

Okay, I know I'm an idiot, but I just don't understand ...

I've listened to most of your audiobooks. Everything I heard was amazing, loved it.

I will admit to being a moron though, and I'll tell you that I couldn't figure out how to get some of them in one big group. Like Ancestor, when I finally started to download it, it had a bunch of other weekly updates mixed in. Couldn't deal. And 'The Starter.' Hell, I can't figure out if that one is available at all. Yes, I said I'm an idiot. But I am desperate for this book!

But more importantly, another thing I don't understand, is how I can just send Scott some money? (I am not a troll!)

I've loved these audiobooks more than any thing I've paid for (nope never paid for it...if you're wondering...unless dinner and a movie counts as paying for it), and I want more! I will gladly pay, and I don't need anything in return, because I've gotten hundreds of dollars of entertainment already.

Bonus question: Will we ever hear Pookie Chang's voice again? You could just act as though the whole Noctournal prologue never happened. Put Pookie and Brian back out on the streets- same chief, and just put them on another case. Maybe different monsters.

My god, I hope you continue to give us these amazing stories. Much appreciated. Thanks!

Or you can type in just Scott's name and you should get several results. Not just the main feed. There you should be able to down load just the books. The Starter is only available as a paid download through Back My Books. You can find the link under the novels tab. The podcasts for that will start soon after ANCESTOR ends.

Trying to figure out how best to get scott some scratch. Ultimately, I came up with just buying his books and wares that he sells on the site. Buy his books at bookstores that report sales to the NYT best sellers list, and that helps get his name out there. Buy his kick-ass Dark Media Overlord USB drive with the Starter and Rookie audiobooks, and you get kick ass DØM kitsch and kontent in the same package.

2/28 is the release of The Starter on Podiobooks.com; it's the same time the weekly free podcasts start here on this site, through the normal feed. The "normal" feed has all the new junkie shout outs and news and stuff - that is all pruned from the story when it is put on podiobooks.com.

Most assuredly, podiobooks.com is the best way to get them en masse. If you use an ipod, I think your best bet is to go through the itunes store, which gets its content from podiobooks.com. I've had some trouble loading items like the Starter Audiobook I bought onto my iPod, but that's a lame technical limitation.

I had to first pull just the audio files to my desk top then save them in what ever location you want. I made a special folder for the GFL audio. Then drag that folder in to iTunes. No problems after that.

that iTunes doesn't recognize the files as podcasts - and treat them as such - unless the files are added to your library as part of an RSS feed. Which is lame. So they all play like regular music files, and do not remember where I left off, for instance.

Highlight all the files then do a right click on them. Go to get info. Pick the last tab on the right there is a switch or box you can turn on that will force it to remember the place.

So do you know of a way to enable it so the podcast playback controls can be used? Like the 30-second loop backwards?

I haven't looked for that. But your right it would be nice to be able to do that. May be set the 'KIND' audio type as AUDIOBOOK would work. I will need to play with it some to find out. I will let you know.
