I just happened to stumble across Scotts work on i-tunes and have been addicted ever since. I dont know what I like so much about his writing/audio but the guy sucks me in every time I listen... I even look forward to my hour drive to work cause I know I get to hear more. I just recently started listening to Contagious and was pumped to find out there was more on that crazy DISCIPLINED fucker Perry. I realize I'm a total newbie with all this junkie stuff and Sigler in general, and I dont know if finding out for myself is better or not, but I wish someone would have told me about Sigler... I remember the first podcast I listened to I was like, " did he just say get off the babysitter, and turn it off now pussy?" needless to say I liked the freak from the start. I will do my best to pass this artists works on to my fam and friends, and already like when I tell someone about the story and they look at me all crazy,"The guy cut off what with what?!" I just wanted to know how you found sigler and when you read/listen to him? Plus what is the deal with the crack hits?
I first discovered the FDO while I was scouring the internet looking for new socks. I had finished a recent SK novel and was looking for something new. I am a horror fan and stumbled across this ... podcast ... thingy and gave it a try. The Rookie was the first story I heard and and it made me check out this website. I was fascinated. So, I bought the signed book and went on to download all of the podcast episodes. I now have an extensive collection of Sigler books and audio books and my life will never be the same. As for crack hits. They are everywhere. You got some for starting this thread. I got some for writting this. You can give them .You can receive them. You can trade them in for boob flashes. Read the threads. They are very informative. Converse with the other Junkies. Only a few bite. If you have any questions about puppeteering, give me a shout.

From what I hear, if you lose him that's the first place you should look. :P

Anything about puppets - you're the man!
Its funny you mention SK, he was about all I would read for the longest time, after the dark tower series I found it hard to get into another story... the cure, Infected. I couldn't stop listening to that damn podcast!!!! I love how Scott does the different voices and how in some of his stories sound effects. Plus how cool is it that he has all the free downloads? Very very cool. I know I'll kick myself foe this later but what is FDO, and is there a certain order I should be listening to these books? (I'm listening to Contagious now, Phillips just kicked Perrys ass, what a great part!) and boob flashes? Hahaha I'm having fun already! Much thanks for the imput.
Thats alright... I still have my guitar.
And he kept whinging about how someone stole his Krakens Jersey. So then I had to find out whom the Krakens were...
Doc
I only know everything if you ask the right questions.
And Earthcore was my first too.
I was looking for new audiobooks and stumbled upon Scott on iTunes. After that, I was pretty much hooked!
Oh, wait. That's me.

Triangles... ... triangles?!... blue fuckin triangles... its been a long 20hr day...and I dont know if its the sleep deprivation but I just realized how messed up it would be to have a triangle form on you... how absolutely horrific it would be... its perfect.
Thats alright... I still have my guitar.
and I kept coming across this book called "Contagious" By Scott Sigler, but it said that it was Sci-Fi/Horror. And Im not into Sci-Fi books. Then while looking for Horror movies I came across Scott's AMC Blog, I read a couple and I thought 'this guy knows what he's talking about' so I assumed he was actually a hard core horror writer and said so in a comment. It was something along the lines of "Hey Scott Im glad there is some one out there writing real horror novels and not that Science horror stuff." And I think Scott wrote something back about my comment on his article that led up to that comment and never mentioned my foot in the mouth comment.
And with all that, I came to his site because he commented back to me when most people in his position would not. So I listened to "Infected" and said "Holy Shit!, This guy is out of his fucking mind!". Then I came back here and listened to everything!
Si Vis Pocum, Para Bellum - Jay-Gu-Ana, owner of the Sala Intrigue
While listening to the now defunk Lipstick Aliens they interviewed the FDO, asking him about all the voices he did and whatnot...lol... So I did a search for his website...He was just starting to podcast The Rookie - So I consumed Earthcore and Ancestor wondering the whole time why does he call his fans junkies...then I finished with Ancestor and caught up on The Rookie and realized why...I couldn't wait for the next episode....A Junkie Was Born...lol
"Old Earth Detroit Lions & D'Kow War Dogs for LIFE!"
I first read Scott while iwas deployed to IRAQ in 2006-2007 my Moms sent me a care package with 3 books inside Joe Hills- Heart Shaped Box, A book titles- The Devil You Know, and Scott Sigler -- Infected...I read each in turn but seriouly burned through infected like i didnt have rather serious job to do whilst hunkered down in the desert. Then i was eagerly waiting for more Sigler...it didnt come nore little did i know the feeling i was feeling was the Junkie being born in side me, didnt read sigler again until i found contagious then I found the podcasts. I ran through Earthcore, Nocturnal, and The Rookie.... then i pledge my service to the FDO and my inner junkie ripepd outo f me like a hatching blue triangle....
A Flying Spoon, and Faithful Servent of The FDO
But I found the FDO because of JC Hutchinsssss' 7th son podcast. I was really enjoying the free podcast content on Podiobooks like Hutchinsss, Mur Lafferty, etc. and there was a promo for Sigler in one of the episodes. Started with Infected and was totally hooked. So thank you to the Babyfaced Hutchinnssss for some kick-ass stories and for introducing me to the evil goodness of the FDO.

Compared to the Junkies that have been around since the Earthcore days, I'm a complete newbie. I've only been around since he started pimping The Rookie. To be fair, I wasn't really listening to podiobooks at that point, just non-fiction podcasts (mainly the ones about writing) - but I started to hear the bumper/promo for The Rookie and the amount of energy it had was just crazy (and the plot sounded just as mad), so I queued it up, it was either the second or third podiobook I listened to, and I've been a cracked-out Junkie ever since.
