I'll be there with bells on. I love DragonCon so much that on the last day of the con I always buy tickets for the next year. (Doesn't hurt that they're half price then.)

So, yes. And I'm certain that if all else fails there must be rituals of sinister significance which if conducted properly will summon the FDO to the event.

Dr Fever is there because D*C is like that. They love washed-up tv celebs. For a few years D*C's subtitle was America's Popular Arts Convention. I don't really understand it, though.

I'll be at Dragon*Con this year also!

I'll be there to not only for our FDO but also to support a film that will be premiering at D*Con.  The movie is called Browncoats:Redemption and is based in the Firefly/Serenity world. If you have a sec click here to view the trailer.

The movie is a for charity effort, to raise money for the charities that are supported by the original cast members of the Firefly program.  DVD's of the movie will be sold after the premiere at Dragon*Con.

and the hubby and I are big fans of SErenty/Firefly.

We live locally, so we don't have to do much of a drive. Might try to get a hotel for one night to really do some carousing with the junkies tho.

Got to meet a bunch of wonderful junkies last year and would love to do it again!  I'll be staying at the Marriott so we'll have to plan a little meet up...maybe drinks or dinner.  We can plan as it gets closer but we should definitely have some Junkie bonding time!!

I'm not sure I'm going to do any costume stuff, but we went last year (just 1 day) and had a blast, got to meet the FDO, see some of my favorite Celtic bands. We're going all three days this year.

I dont know about you C, but I found myself gravitating to the Marriot as the default hangout last year.  4 different hotels, but Marriot was definitely the place to be.  Wonder if I should get a room (if they're avaialble) for a night even though I live in metro ATL... it would be nice to not have to deal with driving home at the end of the night.

The hubby and I talked about that last year. We're out in Alpharetta and its an early wakeup call to get there for the first sessions of the day.

Gonna go check the rates now.

The Marriott was definitely where everyone hung out but the Hilton was a quick walk through an elevated and connected breezeway.  It's a lot less crowded there (and a little cheaper) and requires only a short walk to the Marriott.

(And it will be great to see you again, K )

So, um, yeah...wife and I will be there.  I may have to borrow money for drinks... (j/k)
