They have no contract with the stadium and no state support. I would hate to see them go, but its been a fight to keep them for years now and its just not getting any better.

Well, the sounders for the second year of existence made it to the playoffs but were felled early. They seem to be Seattle's only sports team that gives fans hope (I don't mean to be sexist here but not many people watch women's basketball but I do give props to the storm). It was pretty amazing to see Beckham dominate the field against them the way he did especially after all the talk that he was past his prime and wasn't good enough to play anymore, didn't play in the world cup, people say he should just coach now yet his "platinum" foot was kicking right on the mark last night and in game one. Oh well Sounders, good luck next year.
