I saw the pages on Siglerpedia about "The Rookie" and Quentin Barnes had been replaced by a bogus search engine link. Even though I don't know HTML I attempted to at least put the right info back up and left notes, hopefully to alert someone who does know HTML that the pages needed love. I also wrote a more complete article summary for "Iowa Typhoon." That's all I contributed to Siglerpedia. Just now I tried to edit the info for "The Crypt" to add a mention of the human sub-species the Scions (Sciens?) and got a message saying I had been blocked for "Spamming links to external sites." What a joke! I get accused of being the annoyance I did my best to fix. Did someone read the talk wrong and get the IP addresses mixed up? I have a private IP so I really doubt anyone else is using it to generate spam. And on top of the nonsense block, there is no way to contact anyone because I can't create an account (I did not have an account when I edited pages before). So I'm posting my plea here. Please unblock me, and it would be a good idea to clean up the block procedure to prevent this from happening to other users. Block ID = #287.
Hi there - Apologies for the blocking. I appreciate the help in cleaning up the defacement of the Siglerpedia wiki.
I recently went through all of the defacement and deleted pages that were clearly spam or marked for deletion by other vigilant junkies like yourself. In that effort, I reverted pages and blocked suspicious addresses. In your instance, I checked your user name and it is not blocked, however it looks like I blocked your IP address. I removed the block on your IP address however it's probably a good idea to sign in and use your username when making changes as opposed to your raw IP address - for a host of reasons.
Please don't feel too bad. There were a ton of spammers to block and I tried to be careful but I accidently included your IP. Let me know if you run into any other issues and again thanks for your help in making the wiki all it can be.
