I agree on the Cowboys, at least in past years. But I would submit that the New England Patriots could also be a Man U -- what with their cheating scandals and pretty-boy quarterback.

There's a much better analogy in American baseball -- the Yankees are absolutely the Man U., The Cubbies would probably be the Watford... I'm not knowledgeable enough about the money-ball stuff to pick Chelsea's equivalence.

...be the first time in history. I wasn't expecting Seattle to do anything this year with a new coach and all the personnel moves they have made. But the way the whole division has played has be down right awful. I'm not sure that the NFC West deserves a play off team.

Said it a lot about when the Cardinals won the division for the first time...and guess what?  According to Collinsworth, they were the worst team to ever make the post season; shocking when the "worst team to ever make the post season" comes within a play of winning the whole fucking show.

The playoffs are a whole different breed.  Shitty teams can step up and great teams can fall apart.

If the NFL gets their shit in a twist and makes drastic changes because a big market team doesn't make the post season over a smaller market team when using one of the easiest and most basic lines of playoff seeding out there (win your division, go to the tournament) , then fuck them two times.

I"m looking for an atlanta Falcons vs. Steelers Super Bowl. (If someone can just beat those damn Patriots AKA Cheaterpants) And look at the Lions! 6 wins in the season. Very respectible.
