-roger zelazny - wasn't a recent lost, but was my most favorite scifi author, had a way of melding fantasy and scifi together

My library has several Roger Zelazny books unfortunately none on CD. Since that mix worked well for Eoin Colfer (Artemus Fowl series), Piers Anthony (Xanth series), and Robert Asprin (Myth Series) in some of their books, I'll check him out.

Think I lasted to the nineteenth. Hard to keep reading the same thing over and over again.

about three months after Robert Jordan passed on. I read five books, and am taking a break now. Some new author has monopolized my time since then.

Great story, but the main criticism of Jordan's WofT is accurate; it is taking forever. By the time I get through the other six book the final one will have been written.

but I listen to a lot of books but I don't read very  much currently. It would have been easier to keep track if the books were numbered.  If you like Xanth you might like the Myth books also filled with puns.

Fantasy author David Eddings has died. His Belgariad & Mallorean Series were superb and he will be missed.

(this is a twitter post I expect to find official news post soon)
