Though I did pick up some White Russians yesterday. In a dark room it looks an awful lot like chocolate milk!

haHA!! Yes!!
Type of movie that reminds me of the stuff I'd see on Up All Night on USA way back in the day.

My wife and I watched a movie last night called "Horsemen". Dennis Quaid stars in it and he is a detective in the middle of a murder spree based on the mythology/dogma of the four horsemen of the apocolypse. A decent movie, not the best I've seen by far but entertaining.
It's all fun and games until the nukes start falling and the zombies start calling...
A lot of potential that did not even come close to achieving it. Garbage.
Even the obligatory shots of topless females throughout didn't make it passable. It was disjointed, contrite, cliche, and seemed as though a first time director was trying to make a summer blockbuster while trying to figure out which end of the camera to look into.
What a friggin' disappointment.

is a bold statement.....who am I kidding,
Spy Kids: All the Time in the World opened at $11,644,672
Conan the Barbarian (2011) opened at $10,021,215
Fright Night (2011) opened at $7,714,388 this weekend.
So I'm disappointed to say more people saw Spy Kids of all movies instead of the other two remakes but all three had low opening weekends

I'm normally pretty forgiving with movies... I tend to always look for something to praise.
So here goes... ummm... well... OK! Got it! The rescued slave girls had very pert breasts... almost too pert for slave girls with no proper bra technology.
Other than that, it was a low grade action flip. Very disjointed.
Being a BIG Robert E. Howard, I have less forgiveness and am more critical of anything based on his works.

Timothy Olyphant was the star, and I'm a huge fan after watching his work in JUSTIFIED, but not even he could bail this one out. It began as a solid horror flick, consistent and interesting. He fights his ass off to save the woman he loves. Then in the final third of the film, he makes a habbit of "let's split up to cover more territory" when it makes no sense at all -- the woman he fought to save he now leaves alone and unguarded at least three times. The plot just unravels.
Still, it was way better than I expected. A lot of good work in there, although the sum of the parts is less than the hole of the donut.
I felt pretty much the same. The beginning was great! The ending - kinda disappointed.
Like you said though, I expected very little. And Maeve got a few good scares out of it. That's the best part for both of us!

That sir is a brain stumper. The only reason I can think of at the moment if this could even qualify for a reason at all is that the slave girls must have been newly captured slaves. Anyways I just read "In a suit filed in the US District Court on Friday, Stan Lee Media demands 100 percent of the proceeds from the "Conan the Barbarian" film." They are stating that it owns the rights to the action character. Stan Lee Media claims that, because the company was in bankruptcy at the time, it was not legally authorized by its shareholders to transfer any of its intellectual property. That's just a crying shame.

Shark attack movie from Australia. Done really well. Somewhere between Jaws and Open Water.
Carriers- movie about zombies.. I myself love me a good zombie movie, but this one has more substance than most of the zombie flicks out there.
FDO: The Crazies was a fantastic show & Timothy Olyphant = HOT!!
If you're looking for a visually stunning movie with no discernable plot what dso ever, then this is the movie for you!

Enjoyed it a lot. The CGI apes were more believable than James Franco as a scientist. Fun movie. Well done.

I liked it until we got to the obviously beyond obvious lead in to a sequel at the very end....or sequel of the prequel which is also a prequel. Ow, my brain hurt. Do not mess with the affairs of monsters, for you are tasty and good with ketchup.
Awesome movie! Not as confusing as Icneption but just as good.
