Dexter. Disturbing television feed for the Junkie need
Dexter. It's a show about your favourite serial killer, Dexter. He works as a blood spatter expert for the Miami Police Department and kills bad guys in his spare time. Yup, he only kills bad guys. The main character is dark, the story is a bit on the spooky side. If you enjoy the indeterminate nature of Siggie's stories, you'll like Dexter.

Basically if you enjoy rooting for the morally ambiguous than Dexter is right down your alley. This is about one of the only shows (minus Heroes) that I can stand to watch now-a-days with the whole endless sea of one tree hill type I think I'm going to puke shows on TV. And When you're in college without a TV you have to choose your series wisely or pray your family has recorded it for you so you can marathon on Thanksgiving (while still getting in as much football as possible).

So out of the lab and onto the streets as a blood thirsty killer! Is Dee Dee his murderous accomplice?

Re: Dexter. Disturbing television feed for the Junkie need
I was just watching Dexter last night, and the character Little Chino made me think of Magnus from Ancestor... Man that is a big guy! I saw some stats that listed him as 6' 8" and 315+ pounds.

Re: Dexter. Disturbing television feed for the Junkie need
With the way the show's going, they've really diverged. The book, IMHO, shows a darker, amoral character. TV Dexter seems to have more redeeming qualities. Which kind of makes sense, TV generally makes you want to like the lead in a show. ------- Whole Lot of Nonsense PodCast - http://www.wholelotofnonsense.org UUCSH Sunday Services - http://uucsh.libsyn.com Follow Me - http://www.twitter.com/bpende Pownce on Me - http://www.pownce.com/bpende

I'm not sure if they're both cool, but Dexter's almost as scary as Siggie. ------- Whole Lot of Nonsense PodCast - http://www.wholelotofnonsense.org UUCSH Sunday Services - http://uucsh.libsyn.com Follow Me - http://www.twitter.com/bpende Pownce on Me - http://www.pownce.com/bpende

And Dexter is so fucking hot this season. Hooking up with his sponsor who it seems is even more fucked up than Dex? Um - hot! Agreed. I don't have showtime, and after seeing these two episodes on CBS, I'm going out to rent Season 1. I can't wait for next Sunday.

I think Sigler must be a writer for the show, how else can the show be that fucking demented, in  a good way.

Arguably the best written show on television at the moment. That or MST3k re-runs.

Re: Dexter. Disturbing television feed for the Junkie need

As with most of the stuff I watch, this was recommended by a friend. And when he showed me the Intro I was sold. I mean, who would have guessed that so many regular, menial tasks can be made to look so disturbing. This series is a work of art, no boubt adout it!

Dexter reminds me too much of Thomas Haden Church.  Other than that it is an excellent show.

I realized fear one morning, when the blare of the fox-hunters sound. When they are all chasing after the poor bloody fox, it's safer to be dressed like a hound.
