One of the best science fiction series done, in both the classic and retelling formats. By taking the best of literary classics, science fiction and annoying robot dogs, these shows have drawn some of the largest ratings in quite a while. Did you love the original series? Do you love the new series? Did the writers take a classic and make it tawdry by reworking it? Why should Junkies like this show?

But cant do it. Not because of the content but because of the way the filming is done. Close in shots and quick movements, arrgh! I get motion sickness (yea I know I'm a pussy). I couldnt watch band of brothers either for the same reason.

I tried but couldnt do it even with the DVD on the TV. I knew better than to try it a the theater. I would have been using my popcorn bag for another unsavory use. Blair witch was the same. :(

I had a pair of Battlestar Galactica running shoes when I was but a wee lad. I thought they made me run faster, but I didn't test that theory out with science.

Is anyone having a hard time getting into these last episodes? I mean I get the whole not have a super happy ending. But what the F#$%, does it have to be soooo damn depressing?

I watched the original in college and 1980 when it came on. I have the original series on DVD and the 1980 part I have on tape, but it is out on DVD Dec 26. On a clear disk, you can seek forever.

I have everything but the last ten episodes on DVD.

I remember having to go across the street to watch BSG at the girls dorm, see, the dorm I was in didn't even have any TVs. I "paid" my way by fixing the TV over there every time I went over, because the one in their lobby was always on the fritz.

This season has really started out slow but last weeks episode really brought the show back to life, even if it cost many. Hopefully this is the begining of a great climaxical end.

Just saw episode 1 of this new (second) half of this season (4). We can't get it on the TV here, but Shadygirl's parents are recording/mailing two episodes at a time to us. Episode 2 tonight--then back to waiting...

I got season one on DVD an thought oh! this is going to suck. After I watch all of season one is one day I was trying to get season 2 later that night.

This is not the end because if it is HOLY SHIT!

I thought the Cylons were cool looking! As for the new BSG, I cant watch it because of all the close up action, get motion sickness from it. I may be a tad chauvinistic also as I didn't like the fact Starbuck was now a woman! He was one of my favorite MALE characters in the old BSG. :)

I love women, and I love women who can kick ass, but Starbuck was a cool dude that had a way with the ladies!

But once we saw a few episodes, we were hooked. For us it didn't diminish the original, or make it better. It's almost like these are two similar series, but they don't have any real relationship. Kind of cool though how there are incredible, solid links in the new show consistent with the original, but there are also things they've completely changed. It works for us. This'll happen on the new Star Trek movie too--it's deliberately not the next in the long (and tired) movie series. I'll be something completely new! (We can't wait!)
