Given my history with television (8 years - no tv) not only am I now watching a lot of different episodes of several different shows, all thanks to Netflix Watch Instantly, but they are almost entirely BBC shows.  I thought Maeve would get a kick out of Hercules and we still throw in the occasional MacGyver ep - otherwise, we're getting a lot of lovely accents to listen to.  Perhaps my problem all these years has not been with television in general; it was just American television.

Im watching something that can probably be considered very nerdy, Star Trek the original series

We watch a lot of old movies together and a few times she's observed (though not so eloquently) that movies are all flash and dazzle now - no plot.  Movies back in the day may not have been as spectacular visually but the acting and writing was spot-on. 

I'm still not sure how her love of old movies and her love Disney/Nick Teen shows and stars doesn't cause some sort of paradoxical wormhole which implodes the Earth...

In two days (with working a day job in the middle) I finished Season One of Doctor Who!  Looks like Season Two is up next.

My favorite episode is "The Work Outing" due solely to the entrance of Moss towards the end.  I nearly missed myself.
