I watched 30 Rock for the first time tonight....freaking funny stuff!

I can see why htey were nominated for so many awards.  Both Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are fabulous and the writing is brilliant... very witty.  Methinks I'll be watching more!

mainstream media (unless it's football or baseball).  So I'm usually watching DVD's.  That way I don't have anyone telling me what to think, what to eat, or what historic thing will happen next!!!!!

I have my shows that I watch purely for entertaiment value!  I do read a lot too though.  Sometimes I think I just need the backround noise of the television to keep me calm!  Crazy, I know.

KM, I do the same thing. Background noise: I will come in the living room, sit down, and automatically turn on the tv. then i pick up the laptop and forget the TV is on.

if I can't sleep I will go in the living room and turn on the TV, I fall right asleep. when I became a widower (right word for male widow?) the only way i could sleep was with the TV. helped me to think i was not alone in bed. PS, I was lucky and found a second love.

 I think House is one of the best shows that has been on tv for a while!  I love Hugh Laurie and was very excited when he one the SAG.  

One of my other favorites is Psych!  That show cracks me up every time I see it.  Not a lot of good comedies left, so that show is refreshing!
