I need a little help from some Earthcore fans....

I'm towards the end of chapter 31 where everyone is stuck at the top of a cliff after the "silverbug" attack.

I belive Dr. Sangee (Sorry, I've got no idea how to spell his name) made a reference to a past attempt to communicate with one of the smaller/younger Rocktopi.

Somebody must have hit me over the head cause I don't remeber that at all.....Can someone point me to the chapter /time stamp where this happened?
