That's me and now I'm a junkie. All hail the FDOL!! These geologic concepts aren't difficult and it was clear that Scott did some research. Besides, the action kicked ass. There isn't a damn thing wrong with "Lots and LLLOOOTTTSSS of violence." I thoroughly enjoyed Rollins' Subterranean, and it wasn't nearly as geologically accurate as Earthcore.
-but i was embressed with his science here too.
as a matter of fact, his science in all his books is good. he does good research and tends to stay true to the science in his story development. as with all scifi authors, some fudging or expansion of science fact occurs for the good of the story. but sigler tend to bend things and still remain in the realm of the plausible
