Who should star in Ancestor (the movie)?

Pretend for a moment the movie version of Ancestor is in the works. If you were casting actors for the parts in the book, who would you want to see on the screen and in which role?

I think Nathan Jones would be good fit for either the Magnus or Perry Dawsey role.

In shaun of the dead and hot fuzz he has played some bad-ass who can just kick ass left and right and that role seems good for him.

She might need a little makeup, or they'll have to come up with a new MPAA rating to account for the raw horror of the whole thing. You know, it would be like when you put the wrong hot sauce on something and the heat completely overpowers the flavor of the food it's on... I wouldn't want her to ruin the whole thing by simply appearing too horrible. The story would be lost in the wake of it all. (Grin.)

While he has some good action in his other movies I just can not see him in a serious slasher movie like this. I think if at all he be Claytons boy

I agree with Nathan as Magnus.  I watched him in his brief stint on wrestling and in the movie The Protector.  It wasn't a bad movie at all, and he was a beast.

and presumably her state of health, with a little assistance from the special effects folks, she might make a nice McButter. (Hey, wait a minute, wasn't Lassie actually a guy dog?)
