Just bought Ancestor from amazon, after listening to the podcast episodes 1-8 at work today, and within the first chapter that I read, I notice that the first guy to die in the book is from Saskatoon! Being a guy from Saskatoon myself, I'm not too sure how to feel about that, heh. The standard trope in horror seems to be that the black guy tends to die first, so this is a welcome, and surprising change. Being from Saskatchewan, you get pretty used to only hearing our province and town names by people pointing out how silly they seem, so it was a pleasure to read it being used in such a blasé manner. Represent! :P
