It seems that their ratings are based on the average of marks out of 5 that each reader gave each book and then the highest average is the favorite (your american spell checker is fucking with my head) (it might be my american spell checker tbh but it still messes with me)

Dude, it's not like I'm anyone special.

I'm just another Junkie with too much time on his hands so he comes over and amasses CHs like everyone else. Yeah, I help Scott out, as does A, Gmork, and Pulsar. That doesn't mean I can demand people do shit. It's all about asking nicely, remember. I simply had to make a call on the rules. So I guess I did have some authority there.

Dammit. I hate when I end up taking the other person's side by the end of what I'm writing. They taught me essay writing too well in school. The "always think of the other point of view" thing.

But my point was that you're perfectly free to ask people to re-write their entries. I'm sure they would accomodate you, even if they did give you a bit of lip. Siglerism is kind of based on giving one another shit, so that's to be expected.

We Junkies are an amenable bunch. We tend to seem like a disparate crowd, but we're more like a family. We give each other crap all the time, but we also pull together and help one another out when it's needed. Then we go back to our verbal bashing of one another.

A system like that is built to be applicable on a broad scale. We are zeroing in one one author with a finite number of titles. In order to get a true gauge of what people think, you have to tell them to compare the titles head to head.

Seriously, how many people here would give any of their top five less than five stars? Top seven? See what I mean? Just doesn't work for what we want.
