Respect Thy Elders - By Benjamin Clifford

I push outward
My face and shoulders cresting
The wave of light that spills forth
From the universe

Blood is my midwife
My doctor
My mother
My sustenance

I am power
Fear incarnate
Young muscles strain as if to celebrate
The joy of life

None dare oppose me
For I am leader
The shifting pelts of my hoard
Fall in step to my roar

To die so young
A sad occurrence
My anger and vengeance for
The fallen comrades will live again

The hunger cannot be sated
We shall come again
For the ignorance of the prey is
Immortal

I loved that poem... very rich.
My new job keeps me from reading all the posts, so today is a" time travel day" for me when I go to the "past"( in this instance I traveled back to March) and read all the stuff I have been missing.
I really like your other poetry too, keep posting, I bet you could create a whole Siglerverse
based collection. Your dark and primal point of view in your Mcbutter ode is right on.

"Nommy" is a derivation of "Nom". The Urban Dictionary defines Nom (or om nom) as:

"An onomatopoeical adjective based on the sound emitted when something is "oh so tasty" (either through hunger or flavorological value) that one gnaws through it without regard to cleanliness or etiquette. This sort of ravenous eating will often result in an "om nom nom nom" noise being emitted from the eater."

So my pun was that Baby McButter wants you closer because you look rather delicious

...we here at ScottSigler.com embrace the differences in all our brethern and sistern whether they are alive and kicking, dead, or of the shambling undead. We feel that these differences add to the community making it a veritable cornocopia of diversity.

In the future, please try to be more senstive to our shambling friends as they are just trying to feed their insatiable need to feed.
