That's right, in the first week of release, CONTAGIOUS hit #33. The hardcover fiction list is like the Super Bowl of bestseller lists, it's the big-time, and even #33 is a pretty damn big accomplishment.
From this moment on, and for the rest of my life, I get to say "New York Times Bestselling Author Scott Sigler." Granted, I'm used to hearing "will the defendant please rise" and this is way, way better.
This is all you guys. Thanks for your constant support, and thanks for rallying around a strong opening weekend for CONTAGIOUS. Next novel out, our goal will be to crack the top 15, but for now, nailing the Grey Lady feels just fiiiiiiine.

Well, the Podfather (Adam Curry) said that all you have to do to get their attention is prove that you can move the needle. The podcasting community of listeners was able to get it to move for Black Lab a couple years ago, and now the Junkies have made it move again in a bigger and better way! New York F'n Times! Grats to General Siglerisimo, and the Junkies! Now all we have to do is put Infected at #1 for its weekend's box office hit by buying 3, 4 or even 5 tickets each (whether we watch or not). We gotta help get the loans on the plaid tanks paid off since the interest rate is killer. I know Scott is harsh and evil and all, but banks take it to a whole new level when they can get away with those crazy high interest rates.
