Welcome back to Tuesday Terror, a fan-generated anthology of stories based in the Siglerverse. "Loyalty" is written by Renee Jordan; edited and performed by Arioch
Morningstar. It is an alternative future-history of THE ROOKIE.
Story Notes & Siglerverse Background: In Scott's novel THE ROOKIE, Quentin Barnes discovers that his fellow quarterback Donald Pine is deliberately tanking games to pay off his gambling debt to Mopuk the Sneaky, owner of the bar "The Bootleg Arms." Quentin leads the Krakens in an effort to pay off Pine's debt. After all is said and done, Mopuk & his organization are thoroughly decimated.
Author Notes: Renee is a veteran of the US Army (thank you for your service!). She is one of Scott's invaluable Secret Agents, people who help research his book. Her advice on Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear warfare knowledge has been very helpful.

Nice work, Renee!
I caught this one first thing this morning. In the words of Bullet-Tooth Tony, "Why, you cheeky bastard!"
The length of the story
The length of the story doesn't bother me either way as long as it it good fiction. And this was really good!
awesome story. Just missing
awesome story. Just missing out on the voice of the master ;)
short or long stories? i dont think it makes a difference. I always like more content from the Siglerverse, but length of story is not relevant.
great job so far. loving the fan fic
Quality story
Looking forward to the second 1/2.
As for the longer storeys i am not bothered as long as they interesting
Wow, that was a helluva a tale...
...can't wait to hear how it ends.
Oh wait, I have to write it first! Haha, fear not fellow Junkies, QB's murder WILL be avenged, and you guys are gonna love how I make that happen.

length of the stories...
doesn't really matter to me as long as the content is top notch and Renee delivered... can't wait to hear the end of this one...
Nicely done!
Really can't wait to see how this one concludes. Not only is it a good story, PD4D (my preferred abbreviation) has demonstrated proficiency with the sigleresque cliffhanger as well!
I also don't have any problem with longer stories, or 2-parters like this. I'm a bit curious as to how many words these episodes are, though. The submission guidelines say something about a story between 300 and 5000 words, but how many have these stories been? Maybe that's just for my own curiousity.

I hate to be a dick but why
I hate to be a dick but why in the fuck was there not a spoiler warning for this saying.... if you havent read/listened to THE STARTER ......DO NOT listen to this yet. I dont know but I am pretty sure I now know where they finish the season at and that sucks big hairy donkey dick. So I am offically not listening to any "TUESDAY TERROR" segments again.
On a possitive note I ordered 2 copies of THE ROOKIE and holy shit yall dont mess around with shipping. It only took 2 days to get them here on the east coast. I got 2707 and 2708. But I will be doing my part friday for S.A.D. and getting a much lower number! All hail the FDO!!!
Well ... shit
That's a very good point. Arioch and I both missed it (I get to listen early, a little perk for being the FDØ).
Sorry about that, Edward. I bet Arioch will put spoiler alerts at the beginning of every episode. This is one of those things you don't think about until it happens.
It's all good! Just ordered
It's all good! Just ordered 2 copies of THE STARTER and I have a countdown timer so I can do my part for Sigler Ascension Day tomorrow. I didnt want to wait till tomorrow and order them because I want to get the lowest # I can. No time to dick around. Thanks for getting me through some long drives FDO. You are the chancellor! Heil!
I'm glad to see there's a consensus on the longer stories.
That opens up the field a bit as to what I can accept story wise. It also will let me review a couple of longer stories that I already have. Thanks for the feedback!

Really? I thought I cut it at a good stand alone point.
Cest la vie. Goes to show what I know.
As far as word count goes, here's what they've been thus far:
My goal is to keep episodes no longer than 30 minutes. From what I've worked with so far, my best guess is that would be ~5000 words. I am going to expand the guidelines up to 10K since y'all seem to like the longer stories, however.

Woah woah woah, slow your roll there, chief
There are absolutely NO spoilers in this story. I know this because I wrote it well before The Starter even came out. This is an alternate future history of of the Quentin Barnes saga.

Pronunciation
I enjoyed the story thus far and look forward to the second half, but one thing kept repeatedly taking me right out of the story:
Krakens is pronounced "KRAH-kuns", not "CRAY-kuns".
The mispronunciation of the name of the team (please listen to any episode of The Rookie or The Starter for correct pronunciation) was frustrating every single time (which was a lot of times).
Yes, I'm well aware of that one. You're absolutely correct.
Scott let me know, but we caught it too late for me to re-record it. We altered the schedule, so we shouldn't have any more pronunciation inconsistencies.
I'm sorry it repeatedly took you out of the story. Sometimes I pronounce things differently than Scott does. Proper nouns are easy to do that with. That's one of the reasons he proofs the episodes before y'all hear them.
