Yes, this is the part where I drop so much STARTER shipping eye candy that those of you you haven't bought it get all riled up and your fingers take you involuntarily to the ordering page, so you, too, can git sum. If you want to see bigger images of these photos, head on over to Scott's Flickr Page. Day One went well. We packed up all the ROOKIE/STARTER 2-book sets in our fancy new shipping boxes. This batch heads to the post office today, creating some extra room in the Warehouse of Døøm. We got halfway through the foreign orders and will finish today. Again, finishing this smaller batch and getting it out the door creates room and allows us to focus on the biggest chunk -- US domestic orders. |

If you packed the orders with The starter and the rookie together first does that mean the book numbers will be in order you pack them or in order of when they were pre-ordered?
Also like the pics....almost as good as having the real thing...

Being a foreigner pays off it seems! Although customs will probably think that it contains drugs and examine it extra carefully therefore adding a few extra weeks of red tape time. Curses!
Hopefully they won´t realise that it is indeed two large fixes that this junkie needs. Maybe I should have checked if it is legal to import Sigleristic drugs?

If you ordered THE ROOKIE, you get the next ROOKIE number in line, same with THE STARTER. So, you might get STARTER #1,212, and in the same box ROOKIE #2,645.

I am Canadian, therefore I am EXTREMELY foreign in the eyes of the US Postal System. I expect to see my copy of THE STARTER arrive around February because Canada is on another planet, you know.

No, books are numbered in order of purchase, not packaging. Just because we packaged some first doesn't change the number at all.

Oh oooh oh!!!! Can't wait! But this is gonna be odd- I'm gonna have my hard cover copy of The Starter before I get my hardcover Ancestor. And sadly I'll probably still get it weeks after all the US orders arrive.

Audio version of "The Starter"
When is the audio version of the starter coming out? I just finished re-listening to the Rookie and I went looking for the next in line. I started listening to the books on my commute. Reading them just isn't the same.

until after the Ancestor podcast is finished but there should be an audiobook available for purchase around X-mas.
