Did ANCESTOR influence PREDATORS?

If you're a fanboy (or fangirl) like me (I'm not a girl, but you get my point), then you've been urinating on yourself waiting for the new PREDATORS movie produced by Robert Rodriguez. Let's be honest, Rodriguez f-ing rocks, and the original PREDATOR f-ing rocks, so that's going to make for a lot of f-ing and a lot of rocks.
But check this out! There is a new creature in the movie, the "Predator Hound." Does that profile look familiar? That big spike coming up ffrom the spine? Add some skin running from the hound's spine to it's rump, it's basically the same animal (with some evolutionarily impossible spikes thrown on the face, of course).
Ancestor has been around for five years, the images and sculptures for four. Could the Predator Hounds have been influenced? Possibly! I can't wait to see this thing. Only problem is when the ANCESTOR movie comes out (someday, people someday!), you're going to hear that I "ripped off" PREDATORS when it's obvious that I had that sail-fin/spike first.

I saw this trailer last week and that was my first thought: "those bastards ripped off sigler!". But I think it will be ok because the pred-hound is likely to have a minor part in the film as the focus of all previous Predator movies have been on the predator Technology. The ancestor beast will look different because it's cow-colored body and it will be the main focus of the film. I'd bet the pred hound doesn't get more than 5 minutes screen time. And let's face it: and ancestor would laugh at all the fake spikes and eat predator's Fifi for breakfast!____________________________________________

Hey who knows this could actually give you a lot of free publicity, which is never a bad thing.

I was thinking this could make a Ancestor film actually happen. People could watch the movie and really like the hound so much that they get some attention on the internet raving about how cool they are and how they should have been in more of the movie. BANG! Scott's slave...agent will call up Joe Hollywood and tell him about the Ancestor book and deals will be made souls will be lost!

Baby McButter would make a quick snack out of the predator hound, or even several of them, and pick his teeth with it spikes and then floss with its long floppy looking hair do whoppy thingy's.

Not saying the FDO stole his idea, but artists get inspiration from existing sources to help bring ideas to life.
That model's not far off what I imagined - slightly bigger head, but the second I saw it I thought of the Terror Dogs!
