When I tell you guys to buy-buy-BUY my books as soon as they come out (or before, pre-orders are like karmic gold, I tell ya), I'm not kidding. Take a look at this eBay auction for a first-edition of the 2007 version of ANCESTOR, back when it was published by Dragon Moon Press. Home-slice wants $200 for this sucker, and you know what? He'll get it. It's the going rate.
So pre-order early, pre-order often. If you think $200 for an old small-press paperback of ANCESTOR is crazy, wait three years to see what hardcover ROOKIEs and STARTERs are going for. I predict $500 for first-printing, at least, and that's if you can find them.
Remember, the ANCESTOR hardcover is $24.99. On Amazon pre-order? Just $16.99. Buy one for you, one for a friend. If you don't have any friends, this will solve that problem.

Just FYI
one of our fellow Junkies snagged a proof copy of what I'm assuming is the rewrite of Ancestor on ebay. I would encourage all Junkies to let Scott or A know if you see any additional proof copies floating around out there on the internets, as Scott was very adamant about his consultants deleting or destroying any proof they work on to prevent just this kind of thing from happening. We need to nip this in the bud.
BTW, I'm not gonna give anything away here, but I will say that you guys are gonna LOVE the rewrite. Scott really amped things up without changing the basic story.

Looking for that very thing. I have seen them as cheap as $88, which is still too much. But $200 is out of control. I can't wait for my copy - my bookshelf only has three Sigler books on it right now. :(

Which reminds me of an eBay auction several years ago
True story, I was crawling around eBay about 5 years ago and came across an auction for an Alice Cooper toenail clipping encased in a cube of Lucite. Apparently someone worked at a hotel where Alice was staying and found it in his room after he left and had it encased in plastic. No way to prove it, of course, but still, "it" was on the auction block.

I purchased an ARC copy of Ancester on E-Bay a few weeks back. I am a collector and I only collect what I love so I thought this would be cool to add to my collection. I never sell what I collect and I would never want to piss off the FDO so I am willing to send this copy to you in good faith. I have everything in print, at the moment by the master and I will be purchasing The Starter 4/1 at noon sharp! I have pre-ordered Ancester and will purchase any book that is published from here on out. Including trades and any Mass Market stuff. I became a Junkie last year and I can't get enough Sig!
