Dear UK Junkies: ANCESTOR hits your book racks on August 18, 2010. If you haven't already pre-ordered the book from Amazon.co.uk, then mark your calendars and start spreading the word. It's got a fancy cover that's different from the US version. And no, just because the cover makes it look this way, ANCESTOR is not "slash" fiction.

In Germany Ancestor will be called "Implantiert"

The claim is that different markets respond to different images. Hodder & Stoughton, the publishers of the UK version, feel strongly that the modified cover fits with buying trends in the UK. I have no control over it, so they just do their thing.

I think the cover does look cool, but it doesnt compare to the hot hard cover, i dont understand why they dont print the hardcover and ship it to the uk. I got the hard cover shipped over and will definately buy the uk version cos if there are good sales in the uk, hopefully it'll mean more oppurtunities

Sales of books in the US
Went on a business trip and went through John Wayne (OC), Denver (DIA), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Tulsa (TUL). What do they have in common? NO COPIES OF ANCESTOR IN ANY OF THE AIRPORT BOOKSTORES! FDO, you're killing me. This would be a good place to hit. Junkies, your silly iPhone apps are no match for Ancestor!!

I hope to make it to the UK for a mini-European tour: England, Ireland, Scotland and several spots in Germany. As I've said, me and David Hasselhoff? Doing quite well in Germany. Hold on to those books and I hope to be able to sign them for you someday when we share a pint.
